Motivational Maps in Education

Motivational Maps® can be used within the education sector both with the staff from a leadership and growth perspective whilst also being used to help the children understand their motivators and the teachers better understand their children.

Below are some of the areas where maps can be used, both within the leadership and teaching staff and also the pupils/students.

Leadership

Through a more thorough understanding of your leadership team you can use their motivators to help guide growth, change and succession planning. Improving leadership and teaching standards is a key measure for any school during inspections.

Learning & Value Add

By understanding a child's individual motivators, teachers can design activities that resonate with their core drivers to allow them to achieve more.

Attendance & Behaviours

A child who is pushed to follow a routine with a high motivator for freedom can become frustrated. This can be misclassified affecting not only the child but the class and teacher. Through understanding their motivators teachers can adapt their styles to improve focus and hence learning by the children.

SEN

Through a better understanding of the childs motivators the teachers can devise a more individual teaching program benefitting the childs motivational style to ensure a higher value add is provided to the child.
